Born in Lisbon, in 1956.
Published 18 books of poetry, juvenile and anthologies of portuguese and international Visual Poetry in Portugal, Germany, Spain and in Italy.

Presented still poetical interventions in Hungary, Japan, Slovakia, Poland, Czech Republic, Mexico and Canada, namely in the Centre Georges Pompidou (Paris, France, 1984), Centro de Arte Moderna da Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian (Lisbon, Portugal, 1985), Casa de Serralves (Oporto, Portugal, 1987), Villa delle Rose / Galleria d’Arte Moderna (Bologna, Italy, 1993), Centre International de Poésie Marseille (Marseille, France, 1995), Tokyo Metropolitan Art Space (Tokyo, Japan, 1997), Centro Cultural Santa Teresa (Ciudad de México, Mexico, 1997), Museo Vostell Malpartida (Malpartida de Cáceres, Spain, 1998), Musée D’Art Contemporain (Marseille, France, 1998), and Galeria Metrónom (Barcelona, Spain 1999).
Organized, among others, the “1º FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE POESIA VIVA” in the Museu Municipal Dr. Santos Rocha (Figueira da Foz, Portugal) and co-organized the exhibition “CONCRETA. EXPERIMENTAL. VISUAL – Poesia Portuguesa 1959-1989” in the Universities of Bologna (Italy), Lyon and Poitiers (France) and in the Centro Cultural Português da Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, in Paris (France). Organized, too, several exhibitions of Visual Poetry in Portugal, Italy, Mexico and Brazil, and 6 Meetings of Performance-Art in Lisbon, between 1992 and 1998.
Received the Prize “LACONICUS’96” for cultural merit, during the “IV CONGRESSO BRASILEIRO DE POESIA” (Brazil).
